Custom Sir Robert Baden Powell

Originally named Robert (after her original owner), this yacht was designed and built in Germany. Its architecture, lines, and armament are reminiscent of the so-called "Baltimore Clipper": a type of vessel created in America in the late 18th century during the War of Independence and widely used to break the naval blockade imposed by the British (these vessels later became the basis for the fastest "tea clippers", but that is another story). Sir Robert Baden Powell inherited the best features of her predecessors, she is not only beautiful and speedy, but her maneuverability is exceptional for a boat of her size. A testament to her quality of craftsmanship and thoughtfulness is that the 42-meter schooner has a crew of only five.
