Clan VIII is one of the newest steel yachts built by Perini Navi and is already the 53rd in the company's impressive fleet. This time Perini has called upon Ron Holland, known for his large yacht projects, to design the new yacht. The 45-meter sloop is designed in a very original way with some architectural features taken from the motor boats, like the wide stern gangway leading from the open cockpit to the swim platform. Despite her steel (sturdy but as a result very heavy) hull, she is a fast boat, with 900 square meters of sailcloth to give her a top speed of 14 knots. The interior of this boat is very distinctive - it is dominated by teak and ebony, making it very solemn and austere.
